NisaBakri  Chicken Curry Paste is inspired by the wonderful spices from Northern India and Malaysia, flavoured with aromatic curry leaves, tempered in oil with mustard seeds, with a variety of spices such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon and cardamom for a beautiful chicken curry dish.

A popular dish, this paste was inspired by Puan Sri Nisa Bakri's late mama's Chettinad Chicken Curry, testimony by many of our repeated customers as the best chicken curry paste in the world!

This paste makes it easy for those looking for a quick, simple and delicious way to cook up a home-made dish. Just need to "tumis" (saute) add other raw ingredients, water and coconut milk, and serve, as fast at 20 minutes!

HOW TO COOK?

1- Heat oil in a pot. 

2- Sauté red onions, dried chili paste (cili giling), pandan leaves, cloves, cinnamon sticks and cardamom.

3- Add paste with water and stir well until 'pecah minyak' (oil split).

4- Add chicken and mix well.

5- As soon as the water reaches a boil, add garam masala, saffron, yogurt, coconut milk, fennel seed (jintan manis) and tomato. Mix well and close the lid for 15 minutes or until chicken is soft.

6- If the gravy is thick, add in cilantro, mint leaves and chilli.
